Golf Practice Requires A Relaxed Swing

All golfers want to hit the ball farther and lower their scores. Everyone visualizes perfect shots that fly straight and land where we want them. To accomplish this , we just need more golf swing practice to refine our strokes to accomplish the perfect swing .

Most golfers proclaim that relaxation is the key . Relaxation will happen with practice and getting in that zone during actual play. On all shots, relax and hit the ball on the center of the club face and the ball will perform as you intended .

We all have our own personal golf swing style . Often, we have influences from other athletic activities we’ve done such as baseball, tennis, and racketball . Your body build may also impart some influences . The best route to a good swing is to take some golf lessons , to offset those non-golf influences. The swing needs to become secondary in nature and you need to become as “grooved” as possible.

One’s body build will affect the way you swing the club.

  1. With very flexible bodies, your shoulders may turn too much.
  2. Those with shorter arms will require longer golf club shafts.
  3. You are very small, you may need to be fitted with custom golf equipment.
  4. If you are very strong get properly fitted for the correct shaft flex and club weight.

No two golf professionals swing exactly the same, so trying to mimick a pro may be a bad practice. Remember, the perfect swing and shot are developed through many hours of practice and professional instruction.

It is critical that you have a correct stance and balance. Balance is the key element. Tilting, swaying, or improper weight shift, can undo good balance and will affect how and where the club face hits the ball and where the ball lands in relationship to the target hole. Stay relaxed!
