Seattle Flight Training

For some odd reason, even with the economic downturn during the last few years, individuals, more than ever before are skybound and enrolling in flight instruction lessons.  Strange, but true!  While many people are unemployed, those who do have employment who are still gainfully employed and have  money to spare are suddenly  pursuing their deepest desire to fly.  When it comes to flight instruction companies, there are lots to select from, depending on where you  call home. However, the teaching techniques  and training practices used by the many flight schools are actually quite different.

When learning to fly any plane , it would appear clear that flight safety is  paramount and should be the top priority. Whether you’re a student who’s just starting out or already up to advanced flight instruction , you may not be getting  all the proper instruction you need.  For me in the pacific northwest, I think that Rainier Flight Service, a Seattle Flight Training Service gives you the best service for the cost.  Of course, it is critical to learn your way around an airplane , as well as all the necessary technological techniques and skills you need to learn. But after sitting through a presentation given by Rainier Flight Service, I was immensely impressed with their approach to flight training.  While learning to fly, safety and emergency preparedness are always going to be key .  But many services spend an excessive amount of time instructing on skills and maneuvers to handle emergencies and avert a disaster.  While this is certainly critical to your learning experience, Rainier takes it a step further by emphasizing all the ins and outs of safety first and foremost.  Their approach is that if you can learn, construe and truly know HOW to avoid an emergency first, then the chances  of needing to use your emergency skills will be dramatically reduced.

For me, their approach is safety-centric and I appreciate that.  Now don’t get me wrong!  It is obvious that learning to fly will in the end demand that you have accumulated quality flight hours.  You will need to learn everything possible in order to avoid danger and adjust for any emergency situation.  But Rainier’s approach of first learning all you need to stay safe, followed by  dealing with emergencies, is superior.  So if you live in the northwest part of the US outside of Portland, OR or in the Seattle area, I am really impressed with Rainier.  Of the many Flight Schools in Seattle, and there are a lot, I strongly recommend these guys.
